The city of Nanjing is a big city, and is the capital of the Jiangsu province. It has actually in the past been the capital of China at different times. It is a big city as I said, and its population is about eight million. The Yangtze River runs through the south of Nanjing, and is about 190 miles from Shanghai. I am especially interested in the climate of Nanjing, as it is said to be humid and subtropical, and even has monsoons sometimes. Another thing I am extremely happy about is that I have read a few things that mention plum blossoms, which are amazingly beautiful! I love pink blossoming trees, and their blossoms are a lot like the ones I have at the top of my blog. I also read that they have the international plum blossom festival of some kind, which sound really amazing. They also have the third largest library in all of China, which is good because when I am learning Mandarin I'm sure the books for younger kids learning to read will help some. And I have only scratched the very, very tiny surface!
This is so exciting for me, and I hope that if you have any questions, you contact me on my about me page, and I will email you back right away. I hope to have more news to share with you soon, but for now, Zài jiàn.
